COPS II MISSION

COPS II exists to provide support for the officers of the NOPD Second District. We accomplish this in three ways:

RECOGNITION – We express community appreciation for the officers that serve the Second District.

PARTNERSHIP – We work with Second District officers to determine ways to improve the quality of their working lives.

INVOLVEMENT – We strive to involve the larger Second District community to achieve our mission.

ABOUT COPS II

In 1990, the Citizens Organization for Police Support II, Inc. — COPS II — became the first tax-exempt volunteer organization in New Orleans dedicated to the support of police officers assigned to the Second District. All dues and donations are used for programs and items designed to enhance the working lives of our officers.
